This mid-term evaluation study has been undertaken by National CSR Hub, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) as a part of the collaboration between MSIL and TISS.
The report presents an end to end analysis of the Merit-cum-Means scholarship scheme Protsaahan which was taken up to encourage economically disadvantaged village youth to pursue job-oriented technical courses at ITIs, Polytechnics and Engineering .This project was launched in 2014-15 in the villages of Manesar, Rohtak and Gujarat.
This study also evaluates Protsaahan scheme along eight international scholarships to bring in an external focus for an internal review of the project. The process aims to improve decision-making through referencing comparative data that can lead to identification of new ideas and innovative approaches.
